IU researchers report problems with sense of smell may point to build-up of protein linked to Alzheimer's disease
January 29, 2018In a study of 34 older patients, researchers at Indiana University School of Medicine found that those who scored less well on a standard test of smell were more likely to have more tau protein concentrations in their brains, particularly in regions associated with the sense of smell.
