Traumatic brain injury patients sought for clinical drug study

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation seeks adults with a traumatic brain injury for a clinical study of buspirone, an FDA-approved anxiety medication, and its effects on reducing irritability and aggression.

To qualify, participants must be between the ages of 18 and 70 and have experienced irritability and aggression following a traumatic brain injury that occurred at least six months before entering the study. The study also will assess ways to measure irritability and aggression.

Participants will be involved with the study for about four months and will be compensated for their time.
